Walking the Talk
Grey Lynn – the location of Kōkako’s flagship cafe and roastery – is home to an organically evolving growing network of green businesses.
The Grey Lynn Business Association’s first event of 2015 was a walking tour aimed at showcasing the local, successful and sustainable. Owners shared how they have integrated green, design-led thinking throughout their businesses. Energy flowed and inspiration sparked – no doubt there were innovative ideas and new partnerships formed on the day.
Kōkako’s fantastic photography partner Josh Griggs was there to capture the journey as it unfolded.
First stop was at Bread and Butter with Isabel Pasch. After listening to Isabel's story the walk moved on to hear from Nature Baby’s Jacob Faull (below) in their Grey Lynn store.
From there we visited Author Fionna Hill pocket-sized piece of paradise.
The last stop on the tour was our roastery where we heard from Kōkako’s Managing Director Mike Murphy, Simon Coley, co-founder of All Good Organics and Wendyl Nissen spoke on why she gives away her IP.
