A few weeks ago we celebrated a wonderful summer amongst friends and our local community. We moved into our Roastery in Mt Eden about 9 months ago so we though it was about time to let the people around us see what we do here, and we added some games, food, coffee and nice things into the mix too.
Our friends from Oh Boy Tacos, a roaming taco truck in the Coromandel, woke up at the crack of dawn to join us; Amy + Chris from Yolanda and Wolfe came along with their little boy in tow and a table full of delicious treats and All Good Bananas were pedal-powering up smoothies all day.
Auckland based The Wooden Botherer supplied us with games to play out in the sun; the Fortune Cookie Cart was here giving out anonymous pearls of wisdom ( to receive it, all you need to do is offer your own) and Smart Ass set up a tree-free toilet paper toss.
Millie and her team of helpers brought their gorgeous La Femme Fleur truck along bursting with flowers; You're Welcome Design, Casa Floras, Garden Objects, Aotea Made and Packed Lunch stocked our mini market stall with goods for home and La Marzocco had one of their slick little Linea Minis set up where you could make yourself a free coffee.
We were also very lucky to have Janine, a volunteer from Kelmarna Gardens, along to sell seedlings to support the gardens work, Hannah from Forage + Bloom pouring her new Nitro Tea, and the whole Kōkako team on site whipping up coffees and showing people around.
We had the best day and we couldn't have done it without everyones support, thank you!
