We've been all about the throwbacks this year – what can we say, we've been feeling nostalgic! We’re wrapping up the year with a re-release of the Colombia Planadas. This single origin is returning just in time for your summer holiday brews — a zippy little drop with notes of nectarine, lime and malt.
The Planadas is a bright, medium-bodied coffee that’s super versatile — we’re brewing it on an AeroPress at our Commercial Bay coffee bar, but we reckon it makes a brilliant single-o espresso too!
Established in 1966, in the Tolima region, the town of Planadas is just over 50 years old. Optimal elevation, warm days, cool nights and young, healthy trees all contribute to the high-quality coffee produced in and around Planadas.

Asociación de Productores Egológicos de Planadas (ASOPEP) was founded in 2013 with a strong focus on education, forming a youth collective that trains young people in cupping, quality control and barista skills, along with business management and education in science and technology.

While many coffee-growing countries struggle with keeping younger generations interested in coffee production, 30% of ASOPEP's farmer members are aged between 20-30 years old.
