We’re totally committed to sourcing certified Fairtrade and Organic coffee - that’s why you love us.
However, global shipping delays with our suppliers have disrupted the arrival of our next certified Fairtrade Organic single origin from Colombia — which is currently stuck in transit en route to Aotearoa.
In the meantime, rather than leave you without a tasty single origin to choose from, our shelves bare, or limit your choices to just three espresso blends, we’ve made the rare decision to release a certified Organic but non-Fairtrade certified coffee.
This was a difficult call, but a necessary one to make sure we can still offer you a complex, flavourful cup while we await the arrival of our certified coffees. We searched the globe for a certified Fairtrade and certified Organic single origin that was of high enough quality, but we haven’t been able to secure one before we run out.
Rest assured:
-
This release still aligns with our high-quality and traceability standards - we will never compromise on quality and we will only ever serve the highest quality coffee that is ethically sourced and produced from bean to cup,
-
Our long-term commitment to Fairtrade and organic sourcing remains unchanged - this is just a short term fix to a global problem,
-
We'll resume our full range of certified coffees as soon as the shipments arrive - once they land, we’ll get them roasted and out to you as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your understanding - it’s always been based on transparency like this.
